Colors and view modes in the room plan play a key role in helping staff quickly understand the status and structure of reservations. They provide visual cues that make it easier to manage bookings, spot issues, and coordinate tasks efficiently. Choosing the right mode improves clarity and supports faster decision-making.

Room Plan Modes and Colors

The room plan has two modes – Status and Groups.  The mode switch buttons are located in the top-right corner, with the default option set to Status. When the Status mode is active, the color of each reservation bar depends on the current status of the reservation:

  1. Draft - Grey
  2. Offer - Orange
  3. Confirmed - Blue
  4. Checked-In - Green
  5. Checked-Out - Purple

When the Groups mode is active, the system assigns a unique color to each existing group, visually linking them together — both the text and the reservation bar share the same color for a specific group. All individual reservations, on the other hand, are displayed with black text on a slightly grey background.

Maintenance bars are always visible with red triangle with pink background color in both modes.  We also have a brush icon that reflects the current housekeeping status of the room, depending on its HSK status:

  1. Red brush - dirty;
  2. Yellow brush - in progress;
  3. Green brush - cleaned.

When hovering over an individual reservation or a guest reservation that is part of a group, the system blurs all other bookings and keeps the selected ones active. This creates a clear visual link between related reservations—such as those within a group or an individual reservation connected to a rental item.
